Magnet & Arts Specialties

Vista Academy of Visual and Performing Arts is a public elementary magnet school in the Vista Unified School District (VUSD) located in North San Diego County. In 1993, our school was reimagined as a  visual and performing arts magnet school and given its current name of Vista Academy of Visual and Performing Arts. Today, Vista Academy is home to students from an array of cultural backgrounds creating a learning community celebrating diversity. Students attend weekly classes in dance, theatre, music, art, and Spanish. These specialties are integrated into their regular classes and what is taught in their units of inquiry is integrated into the specialty classes creating cohesive and transdisciplinary instruction and learning.
